Dear band/music lover,
Deviant Projects likes to do new stuff from time to time. Our BATTLE OF THE BANDS is a brand new concept that we decided to work out. It’s a contest as you probably already found out! Here’s the info on how it works:
- BATTLE OF THE BANDS will take place on saturday 27th march 2010 in JC ‘t Muuzaaike (Sportlaan 9, 3980 Tessenderlo). A time shedule and the number of bands will be announced later. Mark this date!
- Each performing band can play 6 songs, with a total act of maximum 20 minutes.
- At the end of the night there will be 2 winners: a jury winner and a winner by audience voting. 1 band will play at this year’s Summerfest, the other band at this year’s Horrorfest. Both winners will also get a very nice goodie bag fueled by Monster Energy and Jägermeister!
- Out of all band subscriptions the competing bands will be chosen. Each band will get an e-mail after all the performing bands have been chosen. This e-mail will tell them whether they’re in or not.
Note: No more subscriptions will be accepted after FRIDAY 19TH FEBRUARY 2010!
- Start practising because the jury will focus on quality and performance. Nevertheless try to bring as many people with you to the show as possible. This increases your chance to win the audience voting.
How to subscribe your band?
All you have to do is send an e-mail to info@deviantprojects.be with subject “BATTLE OF THE BANDS”. Here’s the list of what you have to write in the e-mail:
- BAND NAME
- NAME AND E-MAIL OF BAND CONTACT
- LINK TO MYSPACE PAGE
- IF A BIO AND THE NUMBER OF BAND MEMBERS ISN’T ON THE PAGE PLEASE ADD THIS

Hi y’all!
A very merry Christmas to all of you. In this last week of the year we’ld like to thank all the people that came to Deviant Projects shows in 2009. Things haven’t been easy for us but we’re doing well at the moment so stay tuned.
The Hand To hand and Hopes Die Last show was good, we’re really happy that people start coming out more and more for shows during the week. Keep an eye on the program section to find out about new shows.
Last friday we threw our big X-MAS PARTY ‘09 which was much better than expected. We’ll try to do this again next year and hope it will be even better! Thanks for partying, thanks for drinking, thanks for helping,…

Flood Of Red already cancelled their Belgian shows earlier but today we got a phone call that Shadows Chasing Ghosts won’t come to Belgium either. They were supposed so play at our show this friday but they had an accident with their van and won’t be able to play. We have to cancel the show, we’re sorry for that but you’re very very welcome on the next shows.

We’re pimping our website again as you can see. We need a solid website where you can find all the right info and that’s exactly what we’re building.
Some changes were made in the lineup of the upcoming club shows. We’re planning some more stuff for the future, be sure to keep an eye on the website.

Summerfest knalt de zomer vaarwel en zoekt nog band.
In Ham weten ze wat rocken is en daarom zeggen ze daar de zomer vaarwel met een stevige rock en hardcore-affiche tijdens Summerfest op donderdag 27 augustus. Op de affiche staan Essence, Grey Like Masquerade, Oceans Upon Us, Proceed, Poison My Blood, Through Solace, It Prevails, The Setup, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Your Demise en Misery Signals. U leest het goed, allemaal potige hardcore, metal en aanverwante genres.
Maar er is nog een mooie plek vrij op de tweede stek. Summerfest gaat voor die plek op zoek naar een geschikte band via deze site. Bands die een profiel hebben op onze site én minstens drie nummers online hebben staan, kunnen zich vanaf vandaag tot en met volgende week zaterdag inschrijven door een mail met hun profieladres én contactgegevens te sturen naar nieuws@limbolink.be. Zet in de hoofding: Summerfest kandidaat.
Een jury van het festival zal vervolgens beslissen naar wie de laatste stek op de affiche gaat.
De affiche is nagenoeg rond!
Er werden weer 2 nieuwe namen bekend gemaakt in het Summerfest kamp. THE SETUP en ESSENCE vervoegen de affiche en zorgen voor een bijna afgeronde line-up.
THE SETUP is ondertussen een vaste waarde in binnen- en buitenland. Met hun nieuwe plaat staan ze er weer en slaan ze opnieuw in als een bom! Met ESSENCE halen we 1 van de Limburgse hardcore bands binnen met de meeste vooruitgang de laatste jaren.
De laatste toevoeging zal de winnaar van Limbolink worden. Meer hierover begin augustus.
